Financial Assistance

Many U.S. students are eligible for federal student loans. To determine if you are eligible, please see K-State's student financial assistance site.

Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. To determine your eligibility for federal student financial assistance, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available at http://fafsa.ed.gov/ or by contacting the KSU Office of Student Financial Assistance, (877) 817-2287 (toll free in Kansas), (785) 532-6420 or finaid@k-state.edu. The Kansas State University Office of Student Financial Assistance is the center for information on federal assistance programs, including grants and loans.

Prospective students may fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) prior to being admitted and are encouraged to apply for financial aid by September 1 to avoid funding delays.  Please check half-time attendance for the student’s enrollment status. K-State’s federal school code is 001928.

Students must present an award letter at the tuition payment due date or have an alternative means of payment available.

"I am very grateful for the opportunity an MAB scholarship provided me. It greatly reduced the financial burden and provided assistance towards achieving my dream. Not only is the scholarship a great financial help, but it also motivated me to put all the effort I can into my school work so that I don't let down the Agribusiness Alumni who generously  contribute towards the scholarship."
