Master of Agribusiness Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to improve leadership and management education within the agribusiness industry by encouraging current and potential leaders who without additional financial assistance may not be able to enroll in K-State's Master in Agribusiness (MAB) distance education program.

Application Guidelines

Deadline: Received by December 1 for January start or August 1 for September start.

Funding: The scholarship award pays up to $1,000 toward tuition for one to three years that the student is enrolled in the MAB program.

Criteria:

  1. Must be accepted into the Master in Agribusiness program.
  2. Financial need is the primary merit The applicant must not have the opportunity to participate in an employer tuition reimbursement plan.
  3. Consideration is given to prior academic performance.
  4. Consideration is given to increasing the diversity and breadth of backgrounds within the MAB student body.
  5. The scholarship is renewable if the applicant makes satisfactory progress toward completion by maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA and no incomplete grades. Renewal awards are subject to the availability of funds.

Application:

  1. Complete an application and submit by December 1st (January) or August 1st (September).
  2. Submit a one-page typed summary explaining
    • Biographical information
    • Career goals and plans to achieve them
    • Financial need
    • Other funding sources you are receiving (scholarships and employer tuition reimbursement)
  3. Email application and any supporting documents to: MAB Program Coordinator at mab@ksu.edu

The review committee will examine your application package including reference letters to help ascertain leadership You may submit additional letters if you wish. Awards will be made through the Department of Financial Aid in accordance with University policy.
