Scholarships
Various scholarships are available to MAB students and include:
Agricultural Economics Department MAB Scholarship
At least one departmental scholarship is awarded annually to a student based on scholarship and financial need. Students must be admitted to the program before their scholarship application will be considered. Please note, applications must be postmarked by December 1 to be considered for funding.
MAB Alumni Scholarship
At least one scholarship is awarded annually to a student in production agriculture. Applicants are evaluated on scholarship and financial need. Students must be admitted to the program before their scholarship application will be considered. Please note, applications must be postmarked by December 1 to be considered for funding.
K-State Scholarship Network
The K-State Scholarship Network (KSN) is an online application portal that will connect you to additional scholarship opportunities. You will create a profile in the system that will help match you to specific scholarship opportunities provided by K-State donors and offered through university departments, potentially including your own academic college and/or department.

K-State Online Scholarship Application Form
K-State Online is proud to offer a number of scholarships specifically for distance students earning their graduate degree online. Students only need to submit the K-State Online Scholarship Application one time per award period, as the information provided on the application will be used to determine the scholarship(s) for which students are eligible. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of three (3) credit hours in the award term.
- Fall semester application period: April 15 through June 1
- Spring semester application period: September 15 through November 1
- Summer semester application period: February 15 through April 1
*FAFSA is required for all scholarships with a financial need requirement. The GPA is based on the K-State GPA. If no K-State GPA is earned yet, the transfer GPA will be used. Priority will be given to K-State students who have not received a scholarship in the past.
Financial Assistance
Federal financial assistance is available for those who qualify. The Kansas State University Office of Student Financial Assistance is the center for information on federal assistance programs, including grants and loans (FAFSA). To learn more about federal assistance programs, link to: http://www.k-state.edu/sfa/fafsa/. K-State’s federal school code is 001928. Please check half-time attendance for the student’s enrollment status.
Prospective students may fill out the application prior to being admitted, and are encouraged to apply by September 1 for Manhattan cohort and by June 1 for the Animal Health cohort to avoid funding delays.
